Bob Dee, Making The 'Queen' Sparkle

Have you a problem? Is the world against you? Did you fall from fame? Dele Momodu is your man. When he is done with you, you will sparkle - ask Diezani. It seems his latest client is Queen (former queen) Zaynab Otiti Obanor, the ex-wife of the Ooni of Ife.

Apparently, she visited the United Arab Emirates and met with a high ranking official. How the whole visit was put together in a press release by Momodu is, however, a work of PR art. To me, it only raises more questions than it answers. Also, who cares about what she is up to anyways.

The release reads in part; "Her Highness, Queen Zaynab met with United Arab Emirate’s Minister of Economy, His Excellency Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori to formalise the beginning of international relations with the UAE Economic sector to improve economic and cultural relations between the United Arab Emirates and several African nations. The Bridge, under the patronage of Her Highness, Queen Zaynab is an African Arab organization formed to promote and improve cultural and international relations between Arab countries in the Middle East and Africa."

The 'Queen was also quoted as saying, “Although there has been insufficient progress on a global scale to merge both worlds, we are optimistic for the future of relations. It is with peace that the bridge, in partnership with various Heads of States and governments in the Middle East will create economic and cultural sustainable platforms to improve social enterprise and social stigmas on both sides."

So questions arising are
1. Who asked her to speak on our behalf?
2. Can she still be referred to as 'Queen'?
3. Is the use of "her Highness" still appropriate for her?
4. If the trip was that important, why is the only medium reporting it is a press release? Questions, questions, questions.
